Magnetic Particles

Major companies worldwide trust our particles for research, and clinical and molecular biology applications. Our magnetic particles exhibit high binding capacity, excellent stability, low nonspecific binding, exquisite sensitivity and very slow settling rates. They are utilized in assays that test approximately 85% of the US blood supply.

Our first ever NeutrAvidin coated magnetic particleshave a fast magnetic response time in viscous cell lysates with lower non-specific binding. They also have very low non-specific binding and provide broader utility in a variety of applications. These particles have a biotin-binding capacity of 3500 to 4500 pmol/mg and offer an alternative to our Streptavidin-coated SpeedBeads.

The SpeedBeads are the newest entry in the Sera-Mag line of magnetic beads. These beads respond twice as fast to a magnetic field as our original Sera-Mag particles, and are available in Carboxylate-Modified, Streptavidin-coated and NeutrAvidin-coated versions.
